On July 23, 2025, the Mekong Institute (MI), through its Mekong Sustainable Supply Chains Project (“Mekong Sustain”), engaged with the European Chamber of Commerce in Viet Nam’s Green Growth Sector Committee (GGSC) to explore avenues for collaboration in promoting sustainable business practices.
During a meeting at EuroCham’s Ho Chi Minh City office, Mr. Jason Tan, Mekong Sustain Project Manager, presented the project’s vision to strengthen sustainability capabilities among small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the Mekong region. He emphasized Mekong Sustain’s focus on energy efficiency, decarbonization, and the adoption of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles—particularly within the agriculture sector, which closely aligns with GGSC’s priorities.
The discussion identified strong synergies between MI’s regional initiatives and GGSC’s green growth agenda, laying the groundwork for future cooperation to drive SME competitiveness, innovation, and environmental responsibility in Viet Nam.
