Mr. Madhurjya Kumar Dutta, Director of the Trade and Investment Facilitation Department of Mekong Institute delivered a session on ‘Green Freight Transport and Logistics in the Mekong Region’ at the Green Freight Asia Forum 2017 held at Singapore on 20th September 2017. Mr. Dutta emphasized on the different measures that were implemented to increase fuel efficiency in small freight and logistics companies in the GMS and introduced MI capacity building activities on sustainable logistics in Asia and the pacific. The Forum focused on the introduction of proven green technologies, green freight initiatives and how the business sector can play a greater role in advancing sustainable road freight. The Forum brought together over 100 green freight experts, corporate leaders, academe and public sector from Asia and the Pacific.
