Japan (July 2015) – Mekong Institute (MI) participated in the 10th Otagai Forum in Nagoya on July 6, 2015. The forum brought in over 150 delegates representing business leaders, banks and government agencies from 12 prefecture in Japan to discuss investment opportunities in the Mekong countries. The forum discussed on important issues related to supply chain financing, SME cluster development, business creation, incubation and provided a platform business networking among the participants. Mr. Madhurjya Kumar Dutta, Program Manager, Trade & Investment Facilitation introduced the MI initiatives on SME cluster development and business database in the GMS region. 

A MoU was signed between Otagai Forum Association and MI, Otagai Forum Association and the Seto Shinkin Bank of Japan.
