The East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) SME Product Display and Information Center at the Khon Kaen Chamber of Commerce Established with support from the Japan ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) is now officially open. 

The East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) SME Product Display and Information Center is part of a two-year joint private sector development in EWEC facilitated by Mekong Institute (MI) and will showcase agricultural and handicraft products to the general public and prospective investors/partners. This will help to promote and facilitate the development of business and trade among EWEC countries by providing greater exposure to target groups and linking domestic enterprises more effectively to international product markets. 

Dr. Suchat Katima, MI Director (left), Mr. Somsak Suwannasutcharit, Khon Kaen Governor (middle), and Ms. Pranee Thiraphanu (right), President of Khon Kaen Chamber of Commerce presided over the opening of the center which will eventually display products from local SMEs from all countries along EWEC; Myanmar, Thailand, Lao PDR and Vietnam.
