Mekong Institute (MI), in collaboration with Khon Kaen University (KKU) and the University of Georgia (UGA), is organizing a symposium on “Global Food Safety: Production, Health and Market” on October 5-6, 2017. The event will be held at MI’s residential training center in Khon Kaen, Thailand.
Over 100 participants are expected, coming mostly from the academe, government agencies, and the private sector of Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, USA and Vietnam. The two-day symposium aims to strengthen academic and research collaborations on food safety; provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and experiences on the challenges in food safety from these various sectors; and explore partnership and collaboration opportunities in education and research.
The symposium is sponsored by KKU and the New Zealand Aid Programme (NZAP).
