MI Welcomes Quang Tri Delegation to Strengthen Regional Cooperation
On May 22, 2025, the Mekong Institute (MI) had the honor of welcoming a delegation from Quang Tri Province, Viet Nam, to its headquarters in Khon Kaen, Thailand. The delegation was led by Mr. Thai Huu Lieu, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, and included key representatives from the Quang Tri Provincial Office.
Mr. Madhurjya Kumar Dutta, Director of Trade and Investment Facilitation at MI, together with MI program staff, warmly received the delegation and facilitated a productive exchange of ideas.
The meeting served as a strategic platform to share insights and explore avenues for enhanced collaboration along the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) and the Para-EWEC route linking Quang Tri – Salavan – Ubon Ratchathani. Discussions centered on strengthening regional economic integration and promoting cross-border cooperation in trade, investment, and connectivity.
MI expresses its sincere appreciation to the Quang Tri delegation for their visit and reaffirms its commitment to advancing regional cooperation and sustainable development across the Greater Mekong Subregion.
