On March 4, 2026, Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, Executive Director of the Mekong Institute (MI), welcomed Ms. Chirakan Pornsopit, the newly appointed Chief of the Khon Kaen Passport Office, at the MI premises.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on potential collaboration, particularly in facilitating services and strengthening cooperation to support mobility and regional connectivity in the GMS, as well as enhancing Khon Kaen’s role as a regional hub for business, travel, and education.
