MI Executive Director Meets with Vietnamese Consul General to Khon Kaen

On August 7, 2025, Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, MI Executive Director met with Mr. Dinh Hoang Linh, Consul General of Vietnam, at the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen. The meeting focused on strengthening economic and cultural cooperation between Viet Nam and Thailand, aligning with MI’s broader mission to promote regional integration.

During the meeting, Mr. Dinh extended an invitation to Mr. Suriyan to participate in the celebration of the 80th Anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, scheduled to be held on 28 August in Udonthani Province.  He also invited Mr. Suriyan to deliver a speech at the associated business seminar on “Strengthening Economic Cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand in the New Era.” Mr. Suriyan gratefully accepted, and several members of the MI team members will join him in attending the event. 

As a symbol of goodwill, the Consul General presented Mr. Suriyan with the recently launched bilingual book “Uncle Ho in Thailand,” a collaborative publication by the Vietnam Education Publishing House and the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen.

This culturally significant gift reflects the shared respect and mutual goodwill shaping this partnership.
