On May 18, 2023, Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, Executive Director (ED) of the Mekong Institute paid a courtesy call on Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General (DG) of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and the MI Council member for Thailand.  

At the meeting, the DG presented a 10-million Baht cheque to MI ED as an annual contribution from the Royal Thai Government for MI’s operations in 2023. MI ED later updated the DG TICA on the preparation of the up-coming MI Governing Board meeting, including MI’s program and activity progress.

The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General, TICA.
