On June 14, 2024, Mekong Institute (MI) Executive Director Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn welcomed Ms. Pawinrat Mahaguna, Chief of Khon Kaen Passport Office, to MI Headquarters. They discussed ways to work together, focusing on mutual support and
partnership, particularly in the context of international relations and regional cooperation.

As a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Khon Kaen, Ms. Pawinrat emphasized her readiness to assist MI in connecting with international stakeholders. Mr. Suriyan expressed the prospects of this collaboration, noting that working closely with the Khon Kaen Passport Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would greatly enhance MI’s strategic initiatives in the Greater Mekong Subregion.
