Dr. Anake Topark-ngarm, former MI Executive Director (ED), paid a cordial visit to MI on December 1, 2023. Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, the incumbent ED, warmly welcomed him.

Dr. Anake inquired about the development of MI. In response, Mr. Suriyan informed him of recent key achievements. These include MI being awarded the ASEAN Prize Recipient 2021, assuming new mandates to support various sub-regional cooperation frameworks and mechanisms such as GMS Knowledge Network, ACMECS Interim Secretariat, ASEAN Climate Resilience Network, among others. Dr. Anake was pleased to note the good progress and achievements made and wished MI a greater success.

Dr. Anake served as chief executive of the organization from 2003 – 2006 and was the third ED since MI’s establishment in 1996.
