The Mekong Institute organized a joint Synthesis & Evaluation Workshop on Promoting SME Cluster Development Agents, Enhancing Utilization of FTA and Trade Policy and Trade Negotiations on 26 November 2014 in Bangkok, Thailand, funded by the New Zealand Aid Programme (NZAP). The participants in this workshop were a group of thirteen MI alumni from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (CLMV) who implemented country-wise action plans by localizing training packages through national workshops, to train local officials from relevant government departments, Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCIs) and business associations. The workshop aimed to obtain reflections on the localized training packages through the National Workshops. 

Mr. Madhurjya Kumar Dutta, Manager of Trade and Investment Facilitation Program, Mekong Institute welcomed all the participants and emphasized in his opening remarks and address about MI modular training, the S&E workshop provided a platform for reflecting on the localized training package. The S & E workshop provided the platform to share the experiences of localizing the training packages through National Workshops in CLMV. It also provided opportunity to update knowledge on ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and trade negotiation and Trade Policy Development in these four Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) countries. During the workshop, the participants also got the chance to learn and exchange their workshop experiences and constraints. The presentation and knowledge sharing session were arranged in the forms of information market displays, including displays of case studies, best practices, challenging issues, photos, videos, posters and power point presentation.
