MI OPENS APPLICATIONS TO FOOD LOSS REDUCTION TRAINING IN FRESH PRODUCE

Mekong Institute, with the support of the Mekong – Republic of Korea Cooperation Fund (MKCF), is organizing the Regional Training Program on Food Loss Reduction for Sustainable Agri-Food Value Chains from September 12-16, 2022 at the MI Residential Training Center in Khon Kaen, Thailand.

The 5-day course aims to spotlight food loss reduction, introduce innovative postharvest handling technologies for improved product quality, and foster cross-border collaboration in reducing food losses in CLMV.

The program will feature lectures, group discussions, and field visits to farms and markets in northeastern Thailand. To find more about the course, please click here.

WHO CAN APPLY?

The training is designed for government officials, university faculty members and researchers, as well as private sector representatives who are involved in promoting effective postharvest systems in fresh horticultural value chains. The course will be delivered in English and will be facilitated by experts from the region.

Full training scholarships are available to a total of 24 participants: six each from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
