On September 13, 2022, Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, Executive Director of MI, called on Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) at the Global South-South Development (GSSD) Expo 2022. MI is looking forward to working with UNESCAP to identify synergies to achieve SDG implementation of the Mekong countries, support post COVID-19 recovery and enhance Mekong subregional cooperation and integration.
