TOT Workshop on Advancing WEF Nexus Pilot Implementation in the Lower Mekong Basin (Onsite)

Date: October 16-19, 2023
The workshop is designed to support the implementation of the national pilot, enhancing the knowledge of selected participants regarding the national pilot’s design and indicators. It aims to equip them with advanced skills, regional perspectives, and professional as well as personal networks necessary for successful implementation of the national pilot. The training workshop will span four days of in-classroom sessions. Materials including reference documents, PowerPoint presentations, quizzes, exams, among others, will be provided on the day of activities. Additionally, MI will conduct pre- and post-assessments of participants’ skills and knowledge through online survey methods.

Follow-up Training Workshop (Online)

Date: April 2024
After concluding the TOT workshop, participants will put into practice the shared knowledge and acquired skills within their respective home countries. An online follow-up training session is scheduled for completion in April 2024, taking place six months subsequent to the initial workshop. This online follow-up workshop will serve as a platform for facilitating a connection between the advancements and outcomes of the pilots. Moreover, it will foster discussions aimed at propelling cooperation in the WEF nexus on a sub-regional scale, achieved through a multi-stakeholder forum at that level.

Part I: Participants’ Criteria

  • Directly involve in the national pilot implementation and be able to share the knowledge and skills gained from the training workshop with other stakeholders
  • Hold a university degree or an equivalent educational background with a minimum of three to five years of working experience
  • Be proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing
  • Have strong familiarity in cross-cultural interactions

Important criteria for participant selection are his/her commitment to (a) attend the training workshops in its entirety and (b) complete all assignments and activities. All sessions will be delivered in English.
