NEW ZEALAND AMBASSADOR’S VISIT TO MEKONG INSTITUTE

H.E. Mr. Ben King, New Zealand Ambassador to Thailand, Cambodia and Lao PDR visited Mekong Institute on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Dr. Watcharas Leelawath, MI’s Executive Director along with MI staff members gave a warm welcome and discussed with Ambassador King as well as Mr. Brent Rapson, First Secretary for Development of the New Zealand Embassy, on the current collaborative Food Safety project that is supported by the New Zealand Aid Programme (NZAP). 

Ambassador King also went to the Betagro Swine Slaughterhouse as part of a field visit. He was welcomed by Ms. Chanidapha Kamsommai, BETAGRO Plant Manager. 

He also visited Khon Kaen University (KKU) to call on Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kittichai Triratanasirichai, President of KKU.
