Mekong Institute (MI), in collaboration with Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), is organizing a two-week international training program on “Green Freight and Logistics Development” on August 21 – September 1, 2017, at its residential training center, Khon Kaen, Thailand. The main objective of the training is to address the importance of ‘Green’ or sustainable practices in the transport and logistics industry. The training aims to raise awareness among participants on the importance of Green Freight and Logistics to the global customer base. More specifically, the program aims to:
- discuss the potentials and benefits of green freight policies;
- identify opportunities that can be developed into actions and projects;
- form a knowledge base to complement efficient logistics and green freight programs in the countries; and
- share best practices in Thailand to promote learning and exchange among various stakeholders in green freight and logistics.
Full scholarships are being provided to twenty (20) participants to cover all training expenses, including accommodation, breakfast and lunch, course kits, training materials and other activities designed under the training program.
