On March 16, 2023, Executive Director of Mekong Institute (MI), Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, had a productive dialogue with Dr. Piti Srisangnam, Executive Director, ASEAN Foundation and Mr. Mahmudi Yusbi, Head of Programme during his official visit to Indonesia. 

The two sides explored synergies and opportunities to empower Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and young entrepreneurs in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) and ASEAN.

Potential collaborations in Environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG), creative economy, and market access were also sought.

Both sides said they looked forward to continuing the dialogue to advance their partnership for the benefit of the peoples and governments of the ASEAN region.
