As a follow up to the MI Director’s visit to Yunnan Power Grid Co., Ltd. (YNPG) in Kunming last July, the delegates from China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd. (CSG) and YNPG, led by Mr. Pang Xiaogang, Director of International Cooperation Department, CSG, visited MI on October 17, 2014. 

MI and CSG have discussed on the cooperative framework agreement for implementing capacity building activities on Energy Policy Formulation, GMS-focused electric power technology and management, renewable energy, power grid operation standards and codes, as well as joint GMS-focused research and studies on energy issues in the GMS. 

We are looking forward to set in motion the results of these meetings. We are also proud to announce that the tentative date of the MOU signing ceremony is on November 5, 2014, at the Mekong Institute, Khon Kaen, Thailand.
