About the Webinar

Since its launch in 2018 under the Singapore Chairmanship of ASEAN, the ASEAN Prize has become a regional premier award to recognise inspiring achievements of ASEAN citizens or ASEAN-based organisations with outstanding contributions towards ASEAN Community building efforts. Awareness of a shared ASEAN identity is raised through the work of the ASEAN Prize Recipients within their respective communities and across wider region.

The Symposium will highlight and share the respective achievements and advocacies of the Recipients, serving as inspirational benchmarks and guiding principles to facilitate the building of common understanding among ASEAN individuals and entities about their potentials and pivotal roles in shaping a robust regional community.

This webinar will discuss the journey towards advancing ASEAN regional integration through the views and experiences, highlighting the perspectives and exemplary efforts of the ASEAN Prize Recipients in promoting a people-oriented and people-centered ASEAN Community. The Symposium will also facilitate discussions on the challenges and opportunities inherent in advancing the ASEAN Community, with specific emphasis on, among others, regional cooperation, youth leadership and women’s economic empowerment.
